The SRAM Rival 1 eTap AXS, with gravel-oriented XPLR components and a wide chainline, offers beginners an electronic 1x12-speed drivetrain with 10 to 44 teeth at the rear and 40 teeth at the front. The hydraulic disc brakes are mounted via flat mount. To ensure you maintain control even on bumpy surfaces, the shift/brake levers have rubberized levers and a textured grip surface. You'll quickly learn the eTap shifting logic: You shift up on one side and down on the other. Thanks to AXS, you don't have to worry about wiring the rear derailleur, and with the AXS app, you can adjust the shifting behavior to your needs if desired.
